W.E.B Production Report – April 2025
05/2025 - Back to overview
A Rollercoaster of Frost and Summer Temperatures – Monthly Output Below Target
Total production for the month amounted to 138,559 MWh, falling short of the planned target.
While the beginning of April was marked by wintery conditions, with snow and frost in many regions, the middle of the month brought a high-pressure weather situation and several summery days. This widespread high-pressure zone resulted in below-average wind conditions, causing production targets to be missed in Germany, France, Italy, and the United States. Only Austria, the Czech Republic, and Canada experienced more favorable air currents, allowing them to exceed their production goals.
On a more positive note, the photovoltaic (PV) sector performed well across the board, with all W.E.B solar production countries surpassing their planned output.
