WEB Windenergie Deutschland GmbH Connects Its Northernmost Wind Farm to the Grid

07/2025 - Back to overview

With the commissioning of the Grube Wind Farm, WEB Windenergie Deutschland GmbH has officially put its northernmost project in operation. The German subsidiary’s development team, restructured just four years ago, has been on a clear growth path under the leadership of Steffen Lucht and Sissi Grossman. That strategy is now bearing fruit.

Three V136 wind turbines are now spinning in the Baltic Sea breeze near Grube, generating enough green electricity to power around 9,000 households each year.

The official opening ceremony will take place on August 29, 2025, with W.E.B board member Florian Müller and Grube’s mayor, Kirsten Sköries, in attendance.

And there’s more to come: The repowering project Glaubitz RII is also set to go online in 2025. More good news from Germany is already on the horizon.
