07/2026 - Back to overview

W.E.B VP Řasnice s.r.o. has reached an important milestone in the expansion of wind energy in the Czech Republic: On June 23, 2026, the construction permit for the Řasnice wind park project was granted. The project can now move forward into its next development phase.

The wind park will be built in the cadastral areas of the municipalities of Dolní Řasnice, Horní Řasnice, and Krásný Les. It will comprise nine wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6 MW. With a total capacity of 54 MW, the wind park is expected to generate approximately 108 GWh of clean electricity per year, making an important contribution to the energy transition in the Czech Republic. Commercial operation is scheduled to begin in December 2028.

Negotiations are already underway with suppliers for balance-of-plant services, potential financing partners, and turbine manufacturers. At the same time, detailed technical planning is continuing.

“The construction permit is a major milestone for the Řasnice project and reflects the intensive work our team has carried out over the past several years,” says Michaela Lužová, CEO of W.E.B Větrná Energie. “We are now focused on working with our partners to advance the next steps — from securing financing and selecting suppliers to preparing for the construction phase.”

W.E.B Větrná Energie has been successfully active in the Czech renewable energy market for many years. The company currently operates three wind parks with a total of seven wind turbines, the first of which has been generating electricity for more than 15 years. In addition, the company’s first solar power plant has been in operation since 2009.

“We are very pleased with this achievement by our Czech team. It is encouraging to see renewable energy gaining real momentum again in the Czech Republic. With the Řasnice wind park, we can make another important contribution to this positive development,” says Melanie Walter, CFO of W.E.B Větrná Energie.
