Westerly weather conditions – monthly production above target

The overall monthly production of 163,198 MWh remained clearly above the defined target.

The transition of the overall weather situation towards “westerly” continued well into November, which is why the Atlantic frontal zone found its way to Europe once again. Strong winds in France and Germany resulted in significantly higher production results. Austria and Czechia benefitted from the same weather conditions, although two extended plant downtimes in Austria prevented positive results. While our Canadian wind power plants performed above average, the United States remained slightly below average.

The absence of inversion weather systems as usually typical of the season enabled Austria and Czechia to accomplish a plus in photovoltaic power production. While the production targets in Germany and Italy remained out of reach, the United States exceeded their PV expectations.

The hydroelectric power segment remained above target both in Austria and in Germany.
