W.E.B production results June 2016

07/2016 - Back to overview

Wind conditions below average weaken production results

A stormy June with humid yet only moderately hot air supplied Europe with very little wind, causing our total production of 36,024 MWh to miss its monthly target.

Only little differences in air pressure resulted in hardly any changes in terms of weather in June. Nevertheless, many heavy storms swept across our wind power plants, which withstood them unscathed.  All our European sites suffered from the calm weather. Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic and France stayed below target. Windy Canada was the only region to perform exceptionally well this month.

In the photovoltaic segment, the Czech Republic stayed on the positive side. Austria and Italy just missed their target.

Although Austria lagged behind in the hydroelectric power segment, Germany clearly performed better than planned and ensured a positive overall result for the segment.
