Around 500 Visitors Attend Open House Event in Břežany

On June 13, W.E.B opened its wind turbines in Břežany to the public as part of a national Open House Day for wind energy facilities. Between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., approximately 500 visitors took the opportunity to learn more about wind energy and explore the site in th Czech Republic firsthand.

Guests traveled not only from the municipality of Břežany, but also from Brno and many other towns and cities across the region. The strong turnout and numerous conversations throughout the day created a welcoming and positive atmosphere.

The event focused on providing information about wind energy and the future of the site. Visitors gained insight into the planned modernization of the wind farm, which will involve decommissioning the existing turbines and replacing them with two new, state-of-the-art wind turbines.

Families also enjoyed a variety of activities throughout the day. Two inflatable bounce houses and an additional aerial attraction provided entertainment for younger guests. One of the event’s highlights was a series of rescue demonstrations conducted by the local fire department. Rescue teams performed nacelle evacuation exercises in both the morning and afternoon, giving visitors a fascinating look at the safety procedures used in the wind industry.

Another popular attraction was the virtual reality station. Using VR headsets, visitors were able to take a virtual tour inside a wind turbine and experience the spectacular views from the nacelle.

Among the guests were the mayor, members of the municipal council, numerous interested residents, and several influencers who shared their experiences with their online communities.
