Our next pioneering endeavour: W.E.B issues green power bonds. Austria’s first wind power bonds are launched onto the market.
The next neighbor to join us on the road to sustainability: Italy. WEB Italia Energie Rinnovabili is founded. The Montenero di Bisaccia I solar farm begins operations just one year later.
To the sunny side! W.E.B tackles solar power. Our first kilowatt hour of energy is generated by a solar power installation in Pfaffenschlag.

The five turbines of W.E.B’s first wind farm in Brežany, in the Czech Republic, join our network. W.E.B’s electricity production reaches 210,403 MWh, with an installed capacity of 157,817 kW.
The company receives its first noble title this year. The Austrian Federal Ministry for Environment recognises W.E.B as the country’s “most innovative eco-company”.
