Prestigious award for WEB Windenergie AG: Federal Minister Rupprechter and ORF Director General Wrabetz presented the W.E.B Board of Directors with the Austrian Climate Protection Award 2015.
The grand ORF gala event at Siemens City provided the festive occasion to present W.E.B with the Austrian Climate Protection Award 2015 in the category energy transition. The W.E.B Board of Directors, Andreas Dangl, Michael Trcka and Frank Dumeier, was honored to receive the award from Andrä Rupprechter, Federal Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management, and Alexander Wrabetz, Director General Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF.
This award gives W.E.B credit for 20 years of work committed to the energy transition. When gala host Claudia Reiterer asked Andreas Dangl if there was anything he would like to ask of Andrä Rupprechter, he replied, "We should think about establishing fiscal penalties for everything that is bad for us; first and foremost CO2 emissions." Frank Dumeier added, "We would like clear political parameters to be able to reach the goals set in the field of renewable energy for 2030." "In my opinion, the energy transition cannot be stopped anymore," Michael Trcka was convinced. Everybody could agree that although they had achieved a lot already, the upcoming climate conference in Paris would herald the start of the next crucial phase. Andrä Rupprechter was more than ready to talk about the concerns and wishes of the W.E.B Board of Directors.
After the company’s previous awards for the W.E.B Business Report and subsidiary ELLA AG, the Austrian Climate Protection Award 2015 stands out above all other honors. Some 20 employees also attended the gala event and duly celebrated with the W.E.B Board of Directors.
