Many prominent, regional politicians attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the second W.E.B wind farm at Spannberg. The guests were welcomed by the entire W.E.B Board of Directors and two members of the W.E.B Supervisory Board.
Not even heavy rain could stop numerous regional politicians spearheaded by Rene Lobner, Member of the Lower Austrian State Parliament, and Spannberg Mayor Herbert Stipanitz from celebrating the symbolic start of construction for the second wind farm at Spannberg. Once again, the municipality of Spannberg partnered with WEB Windenergie AG that was represented at the ground-breaking ceremony by the entire Board of Directors. Already the first wind farm had been the result of this successful partnership with W.E.B.
In the course of the second expansion phase, four 3.3 MW Vestas plants will be constructed to generate clean, green energy for 10,000 households. The wind farm will be opened in the autumn of 2015. W.E.B arrived at Spannberg with a new and very special green electricity offer available to all municipalities with W.E.B power plants. As of now, local residents are able to obtain clean “W.E.B-Grünstrom” at a particularly low price – and of course also for their homes.
