W.E.B has been busy: time for the next ground-breaking ceremony in Auersthal.
Many prominent representatives from regional business and politics attended the ground-breaking ceremony for the second W.E.B wind farm in Auersthal. Even Stephan Pernkopf, Member of the Lower Austrian Government, accepted the invitation of Mayor Erich Hofer.
The guests were welcomed by two members of the W.E.B Board of Directors, Dangl and Dumeier, and the two members of the W.E.B Supervisory Board, Schweighofer and Zimmermann.
Two more Vestas V100 plants with a total capacity of 4 MW have been added to the ten existing plants. The new machines feature a hub height of 95 m and a rotor diameter of 100 m. They will be commissioned at the latest by December.
The Auersthal wind farm will then be able to generate clean and green energy for 20,000 households, while saving 40,000 tons of CO2 per year.
Once again, W.E.B offers a new and very special green electricity package available to all municipalities with W.E.B power plants. Local residents are able to obtain clean “W.E.B-Grünstrom” at a particularly low price – and of course also for their homes.
